My first ever job was picking up landscaping staples on an orchard in the Bay of Plenty. I was paid $1 for each set of 100 that I tied up neatly with twine. These days, supporting people to develop towards their potential is my passion. As part of that, I volunteer my time each Sunday mentoring an 11 year old lad through the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, which I find very rewarding.
My mum is my biggest hero; she raised me on her own, got a degree while I was in primary school, now lives with a traumatic brain injury and still travelled and exhibited some of her art at an international art show in London last year. Go single mum power!
